A short update

I have not been present on the blog for the past month. I have started a new job and had to get rid of some major stress issues. I have been reading I just couldn't get myself to review the books. But I have already began planning and working on reviews so I will start posting some new reviews in the coming weeks. Later this week I will share my review of Twisted by Andrew E. Kaufman (which I really enjoyed)  I will share my thoughts on Shadowflame by Dianne Sylvan in the week of April 25th.

As a general's daughter, Alicia Stone has fought twice as hard for everything she's earned in the military. A Special Forces consultant with black belts in three martial arts, she's as strong as her surname implies. No one dares call her Alicia—no one but Colonel Robert Maxmillian, head of the Biological Response Team.

With Alicia at his side, Max must lead the team into northern Iraq to investigate a virus—or is it a weapon—killing the area's population. Charged with guarding his body, she can't help wanting his hands on her body. Max would be the perfect fling. But he demands more.

The heat builds between them, but danger quickly follows. As the two get closer to the source of the virus, they'll have to risk their future to outsmart a scientist with nothing to lose.

I really enjoyed reading Viral Justice. I liked the characters. I liked the story, I liked the connection between Robert and Alicia. I read it in no time. I am a big disaster movie fan and I do like it when books fall into that genre and in my book viruses and biological weapons fall in this category not just bad weather.

When I read the blurb of Fractured Eden I really wanted to read to read the book. It sounded like a really suspenseful story and it was. There are a lot of things happening and you really need to pay attention otherwise you will get confused. But I like a story that needs some paying attention so that was not a problem at all.

THE BRIDE WORE STARLIGHT – EXCERPT

“Warm enough?” he asked. “Your back’s okay?”
“I’m plenty warm. And my back aches. It’ll be fine in the morning.”
“What would make it fine now?”
“Sven the masseur?”
He chuckled. “Your version of the cabana boy fantasy, huh? Fine, I can do Sven.” She’d been joking; he was not. “Come on. Stretch out on your stomach.”
She started to turn and changed her mind. “What about you?”
“I’m fantastic. I have a beautiful woman about to let me touch her wherever I want to.”
“Wait, I never said that.”
