Teaser Tuesday #1

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB over at Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along!

Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

"And this was all still the case when I came into Die, a little less than two months after I'd been beaten to the brink of death in Palestine."

"Dulce sensed the presence behind her as she filled a pail with water at the banks of the river and she turned in my direction before I had crossed the last few feet between us."
Pro Luce Habere - To Have Before the Light by Krisi Keley

Don’t forget to go to Should Be Reading and leave your teaser.

I actually didn't buy any books this week and I am proud of myself.
I saved the money for today. Beacuse today there's Manuscripta in Amsterdam and I'm gonna spend my money on Dutch books, get a few of them signed and meet some author's. Jeej.

I did however get a book for review and a preorder that finally arrived.

For review I received

The Traiteur's Ring by Jeffrey Wilson.
I received an ecopy from the publisher JournalStone.

And I finally got my preorder in
The Power of Six by Pittacus Lore
Doesn't need any explanation right?

So this is what I received this week. What did you get????

R.I.P. Challenge

This one is hosted by Carl at Stainless Steel Droppings.

R.I.P stands for R.eaders I.mbibing P.eril VI Challenge and is hosted for the sixth time now. And I just found out about it! So that's six years to late. But I'll make up for it by joining it now.

The purpose of the R.I.P. Challenge is to enjoy books that could be classified as:
Mystery
Suspense
Thriller
Dark Fantasy
Gothic
Horror
Supernatural

Since I've got like a big stack of  books that I still want to read and fit in these genres I will do the Peril the First challenge and read 4 books.

I'm not sure which books I'm going to read yet. I'll just pick them as I go, but it will probably contain a few of the following books:

The Executioner by Chris Carter;
The Leaping by Tom Fletcher;
Salem's Lot by Stephen King;
Taboo by Casey Hill;
Think of a Number by John Verdon;
Random by Craig Robertson;
Feed by Mira Grant.

R.I.P. VI runs from September 1st through October 31st. So that four books in two months. I can do that!

Want to join? Then go HERE for more information and sign up.

You know you could also join by watching scary movies and join a group read.
